Biography
Mario Berousek
Was born in 1974 in the Czech Republic into the seventh generation of a well known family of artists. His grandfather still ran his own circus. Both parents are jugglers. Mario had already learned juggling from his father when he was eight years old.
He practised four to five hours a day and had his first performance in Prague, when he was nine years old. For eleven years he was part of a jugglers group with his father, mother and brother. Since 1995 Mario is performing solo.
Festivals
Mario Berousek has already convinced many juries with his personality, presence and artistic proficiency: He won the first prize in the Enschede Circus Festival in 1997, the silver medal of the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris and most recently in 1999 a special price at the 23rd Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.
TV-Shows
On November 17, 1999 Mario Berousek appeared as a special guest in the TV show "Sport Gala 99 - Die Besten im Westen".
Guiness Book
On the 1st of March, 2000 Mario Berousek set a new record in Hannover with 3 and 5 clubs. He is now in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's fastest juggler.
